I’ll be honest, I love me some Kim K snapchats, some Chrissy Teigen tweets, and I’ll for sure click on any article that has Beyonce’s name on it. If you haven’t noticed lately I have been way out of the Instagram game. I really don’t feel like posting, I’ve pared way back on my Insta story binging, and you won’t find my thumb a-scrollin’.
In the midst of all this Facebook-Zuckerberg nonsense and the “Instagram-algorithm”, I think we lose sight of the fact that we are in control of what we put in front of our eyes. Is who you follow on Instagram leading you to live your best life? Are they motivating you to be the best you? Or are they leaving you feeling less than and wanting? Here are 5 leading ladies that I can’t get enough of. The content they post is authentic, refreshing, and R.E.A.L. Maybe think about unfollowing a few celebs and hitting follow on a few of these gals.
Let’s start off with Instagrams current leading lady – THE Jenna Kutcher. I am so excited to be attending Camp Climb this summer and she is the keynote! Jenna is a self-made millionaire, the OG goal digger (check out her podcast), and queen of the swimsuit selfie! She posts tons of positive uplifting content but isn’t afraid to keep it real.
Speaking of Camp Climb, check out Emma Hicks, the owner of Main and Second and founder of Iowa Gathering and Camp Climb. She is probably the most stylish mom I have ever seen and has the most darling restored farmhouse that she shares with her hubby and three kiddos. I think I can confidently say we are officially Instagram friends. Can’t wait to finally meet her in person in August. (Did I mention they filmed a pilot for their show Small Town Big Pick on GAC?)
If you have ever watched Little People Big World then you are familiar with the Roloff’s. Audrey is married to Jeremy Roloff and together they run Beating 50 Percent, a super encouraging marriage blog. If you are a newlywed (or married in general!) check out their Navigators Journal. Audrey’s feed is packed with darling snapshots of their home in Oregon and their sweet baby girl, Ember.
If you want actual, real, true, authentic posts and stories, Baby on the Brehm is where it’s at. Ashli is a Nebraska native, cancer surviving, badass. (Yeah I said it!) She tells it like it is, shares the good, the bad, and the ugly, and exudes what it really means to live life to the fullest. I have had the honor of meeting her in person (delivering the chair she is actually sitting on in the photo!) and you guys, she lives up to the HYPE! (Also her beauty tutorials are 100!) 😛
I had the pleasure of meeting Jess at the Business Boutique event in Nashville a few years back and then again at her speaking engagement last year in KC! (She remembered me – I totally fangirled!) Jess is an author, business owner, and church planter along with her husband, Nick, in Charleston, SC. Jess’ feed is full of truth and encouragement as well as tons of real-life moments. Just watching her stories alone encourages me to work on opening my Bible every day, living on mission, and focusing on my faith.
